A Good Inspiration -- Shirley's 129th Friendly Greeting--Sun, Feb 24, 2008

How are you? I do hope that you are well and have had an easy and relaxed weekend.

It is the end of February, 2008. Most of Chinese have been in the second business week after our Chinese New Year's Holiday. But, the Chinese Spring Festival has not past until Thursday -- the Festival of Lanterns. So, there is still strong festival atmosphere everywhere. Many service companies and even many shops have not worked normally. My art and music lessons have not been normally, too. Everything is not very convenient yet.

However, Saturday morning, when I found something was not normal in my refrigerator. I would like to make a telephone to its producer -- Qingdao Haier.

Thinking of the troubles and the after service cost, I have bought almost all of my electrical appliances that were imported since I bought my apartment in 1997. Until last Nov, I started to use a homemade natural gas appliance since it was offered by the government. Then, my cleaning lady and a colleague bought this new refrigerator for me.

I was surprised that instead of some telephone number of Haier, an address and post code of the Shenzhen service center, there is not any telephone number of the local center as I had thought.

So, I tried to call the telephone on the service handbook and asked to get the telephone number of Shenzhen service center. A girl answered my phone call and told me that she would arrange someone to deal with my problem. With a heart that was not very trusted, I continued my work while waited for. In about one hour, I got a telephone call from an engineer and he came into my home in 10 minutes. The thing in my refrigerator was resolved soon.

Then, at about 12:45 in the noon, I got another telephone from Guangzhou; a clerk from Haier asked me whether the problem of my refrigerator has been dealt with before 12:30 and whether I was satisfied with the service.

I did feel good for their good work indeed. It has also reminded me to think of the other services by the Chinese Telecommunication Company, the insurance company of my car. They all did not only offer their after service at the first time with the first class style, but also, they make a supervised telephone to follow their after service quality. For enjoying their good work, I have been using my mobile phone, telephone by same company for 11 years and 14 years. Also, I have been buying my insurance of car from the same company for 5 years.

I do think that our company should learn from them. I would really like to write a new proposal and mention out some new ideas to set up our company’s own after service system as soon as possible.

I am just a learner on that art of painting, music, calligraphy, languages and to work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship and Language Learning. To help the others while to improve myself.
