A New Starting Point- Shirley's 377th Friendly Greeting, Nov 20, 2012

How are you?

Now it is 6:24am, Nov 20, 2012 on my side. I would like to write this note to say Hello to you before I go to my classroom to attend a new lesson at 9:00am.

This is a very fresh and a very hard week on my side. The weather is cold in Beijing and the temperature is -2 to 10 C degrees usually. It has not been supplied heat in the classrooms and in my dormitory, while the air-condition in my classroom does not work, too. There is only 13 or 14 C degrees in my classroom, most of students "escape back" home to work because their apartments have been supplied heat.

Since I have no any place to escape because the building I am living in has not been offered heat and the light in my apartment does not suitable to work. So, I kept working in the classroom and I have completed my first landscape below. :-)

I am thinking, no matter what will happen and where I am now and in the future, I would really like to complete the assignment that Prof. Chen Ping who is a tutor of doctoral students and the Assistant Dean of Chinese Painting School at China Center Academy of Fine Arts gave me when I was a student there Jun 8, 2011 -- temporarily stopped your creating work, to learn to paint 100 Chinese Ancient Paintings, then your would have a good ability to create a Chinese painting... Base on his directions, I gave myself an assignment to completed 200 paintings, 100 flower and bird paintings and 100 landscapes. Since then, I have completed 116 Chinese Ancient flower and bird paintings and 11 landscapes.

So, I would like to see the painting below as my new starting point on my painting study road and I will certainly try to do my best to complete the other 89 landscapes in the upcoming 1 or 2 year. :-)

Ok, it is the time for me to go, I do hope that you take care and have a wonderful new day or evening.

How about you? Do you have anything special to share on your side?

I am just a student on Art of Painting, Music, English and Management, to work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do a few things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be an Electronic Bridge of Inter-Art & Cross - Culture Exchange, Chinese Language Learning & Friendship Making. To help the others while to improve myself.

I would like to appreciate you for your understanding, directions, supports and help.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you are welcome to write to shirley@ebridge.cn or leave your message on Message Board.
