The 32nd Friendly Greeting From Shirley,China,Sun,March 26, 2006

How are you? How is your week going? Is there anything special happening to you in the week? I really hope you are well and have a good and relaxed weekend.

Tuesday noon, I found that my name on the company bulletin board. That is our biggest shareholder and the company gave me a first grade reward for my work that led a team to take part in a national project from Nov, 2002 to March, 2005. It has got the Shenzhen Science and Technology Progress First Grade Award. I am touched for the standing vice general manager who has a statistic doctoral degree and be one of main experts of the project was not in the list. That means he gave up his reward and the reputation that he should have... I am touched for he is younger than I, but he has a wide heart and the excellent personality. I am proud that I am working in a company that has so young managers on the high layer management positions with many great personalities -- the general manager who has an economics doctoral degree and also be younger than I had also done a same thing to give up his reputation to another last year.

In our company, we require that managers to work harder than the general employees. We admire the quality to give reputation to the general employees. A manager should be the person who has a higher ability and more excellent personality to work ahead and to enjoying behind. This is something we admire as one part of our corporation culture. When I was a department manager, I did the same things, to work on the hardest things and to give the reputation and the extra reward to the members in my team. In my opinions, since the company has given us higher salary than the others for our duties and positions, we should really give the extra money and reputations to the other members in our team...

Are you a manager in your company? How do you think of this kind of things? Do you think that we should give the reputation and extra reward to the other members in our team?

The other good thing is that in the first 2 months, the income of the company is increased 3 times than the same term last year, and the cost of the company is reduced 10% than the same term last year. We will certainly complete our target over our plan and budget this year. After working hard for 3 years, the new company started to make profit since 2004 and my salary level has been recovered to be the same level when I was in my old company now. :-) I am sure, along with the time, we will certainly have a better and brighter future on both of the individual income and company’s position in a totally new industry in China...
I am just a learner on art, music, English and the work on the web site. Anyway, I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship, and Language Learning. During the process to help the others and to improve myself. :-)

I do appreciate your understanding, directions and supports. I do hope to get your great help continuously now and in the coming time...
