A Busy, Joyous & Meaningful Week -- Shirley's 113rd Friendly Greeting--Sun, Nov 11,2007

How are you? I do hope that you are well and have an easy and relaxed weekend.

I have spent a busy, joyous and meaningful week already.

I am busy on my work in the company while I am busy on looking after the traveling of my former roommate and her husband in my city. I suggested them to travel with a Big Day and a Small Day. In the big day, I drove them to a big park or a big sight or a neighbor city for the whole of a day or for at least 10 hours. Then I came back to work. In the next day, I let them have a small day to see some small sights plus a movie or a shopping or a concert as a rest day. In the big days, except visiting landscapes, views and cultures, also they attended a big performance. Now they have attended twice performances, one movie and one concert. They said that they had never thought there would be so many interesting things in Shenzhen so that they never feel bored here.

I am joyous for I have been feeling a sincere care for and a true friendship from my guests and we are like some old friends who were just parted yesterday even though we have not seen each other for 23 years. A big changing is that since they came to my home, I have re-started to eat my breakfast for they have cooked or bought something for me before I get up in the morning. You can not imagine, I have not been eating my breakfast since I had my baby son. At the first time, I had no time to eat, then it become a bad habit.

I am feeling meaningful for I have organized someone completing a proposal to improve our telephone service system. Meanwhile, I have pushed a software project on the web site entering its second phase, except my daily work. Also I attended some training for the whole of a Saturday. I was appointed on a high layer management position in a company, that our company has invested, while I am still working in the current company. It is accepting the training by the accountant office, lawyer office and stock jobber before becoming a listed company. As the only one to be sent in the company, I know my responsibility, so I tried to do my best to learn everything I must know.

Then I went to a pipe organ concert Sunday afternoon. I was surprised that there 6400 tubes in a pipe organ. A professor from China Center Music College from Beijing has done a job as a symphony group together. Except playing, she made us know that every pipe organ is designed according to a different music hall. So they are different in different places. The biggest one in the world is in the Kelon Church in Germany with over 10,000 tubes. Also, she introduced something about pipe organ's development and the biggest contribute of Bach in this field. Then she played some works by Bach and the other musicians from Germany and France.

I am busy, tight and tired this week; I am joyous and feel meaningful this week.

How was your week going? Was there anything special in your week?

I am just a learner on that art of painting, music, calligraphy, languages and to work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship and Language Learning. To help the others while to improve myself.

I appreciate your understanding, directions and supports. I do hope to get your friendly help...
