Management Is Everywhere -Shirley's 243rd Friendly Greeting -March 7,2010

This is the second week after the Chinese New Year’s Holiday. I have been working on my 5th work paper in 2010.

Maybe you would ask why I wrote my papers so fast? Because, most of the topics were something that I had thought before I went to the US or say that I went to the US with these topics together. What the professors talked in the classroom or the social activities that I attended often gave me some inspirations, new ideas and some solution, to answer this or that questions and to resolve this or that problems that I had met or thought.

Do you know what the biggest gain is this week I have gotten?

I suddenly realized that management is everywhere. 

It was for a long time, I wished to retire tomorrow, to work on what I truly love ? art of painting, music and language only.

This Monday, when I was painting, I suddenly had a new idea that painting and music are also management. When I paint, I am managing my ideas, structure, colors etc.; when I sing, I am managing my breath and voice. Both of the business management and the art creating are not contradictory, but same or similar on many hands.

Therefore, I should not counterpose the art of management and the art of painting, music and language. I should learn among of them. Then maybe I can work better on business management and art creating.

With a big smile base on the new idea, I have made some innovations on my little web site -- Change Shirley's World to be an Inter-Arts and Cross-Culture Learning World...

The new web site will continue to focus on the art of painting, music, language; cross-culture exchange and make friendship, but will reduce my own personal colors.

I would really like to go out of Shirley's little World and to enter a bigger World.

How do you think of the change on the little web site?

I am looking forward to hear from you and to listen to your views about the new innovations. :-)

Do you have any thing special this week?

I am just a learner on art of painting, music and English, to work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do a few things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be an Electronic Bridge of Culture Exchange, Chinese Language Learning & Friendship making. To help the others while to improve myself.

I would like to appreciate your understanding, directions, supports and hope to get your friendly direction and help.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you are welcome to write to shirley@ebridge.cn or shirley004@yahoo.com, or to publish your opinions in the forum.
