The Most Difficult and the Happiest--Shirley's 270th Friendly Greeting, September 5, 2010

How are you? Have you had a good weekend?

This is one of the most difficult and the happiest weeks in my life.

Did not want to trouble others, after the biopsy Tuesday morning, bearing the extremely ache and trembled legs, I drove back home by myself. Then I had only one meal from Tuesday to Saturday. During the time, I had decided to go back to Wuxi and Shanghai, to exclude the cancer since the treatments on my backbone and eyes would be done after the work and there is no any cancer hospital in Shenzhen. Many checks need to be waited for days and a Pat-CT cannot result all of the problems.

However, before I started my travel Thurday morning, I was informed to register as an art student of China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) Sep 10, 2010.

When I found my name on the web site of CAFA and received the telephone call from Mr. Guo from the School of Chinese Painting of China Central Academy of Fine Arts, just like to be injected a cardiotonic. I forgot so much uncomfortable on my body.

Did not need thinking, I canceled the travel to fly back my father and brother’s home. Then I called Mrs. Lin Qi who was in charge of me in the hospital in Peking University Shenzhen Hospital and hoped to quicken the speed of my checks, by the good help from her and her colleagues Dr. Yuan, I was arranged to make a complex CT in the afternoon, then it was changed to be MRI + MRCP and another two checks next Tuesday by the helpful jobs from Dr. Fue Li, Dr. Jian Liu and the other kind directors, doctors and nurses in the hospital.

I am not sure what will happen on Tuesday’s checks and what results will be told me by all of these health checks. I am certainly “going back” to Beijing ? my birthplace, to find my long-term art dream from my childhood while to treat my sickness there.

An interesting thing is that I got my visa to study the art of management in USA and I should register to study the art of painting in the best art college of China on the same day ? my birthday. My first art exhibition was held in USA and I was offered to have some possible art activity in China on the same day ? Sep 4.

What does the coincidence mean? What is the behind of the Coincidences? Except the good help from the God, I appreciate so many sincere friends who have helped /will help me.

-- At the end of May, my health could not support me to have another 3 art exhibitions in USA, before I had to go back to China earlier. Mr.Bodenhausen, Mr. Joe Jenkins, Mr.Steve Robinette, Mr. Gong Xiaoou and Mr. Xiaoou Qiu would like to help me to manage my paintings that I had left in USA and develope my ideas on the art and culture exchange between USA and China. Mr. Joe Jenkins and his wife have also offered place for my art works and my future art activities.

-- At the night of Saturday, I just had my first meal within the 4 days and re-stood by my painting desk, Dr. Yongqing Jia, his wife and child came to see me. They encouraged me to fight with the sickness and Jia hoped to have some cooperation with me after my health has recovered, by offering work place and capital in China.

No matter Mr. Joe Jenkins and their friends in the USA or Dr. Yongqing Jia in China, their sincere help, trust, and confidence with me at the most difficult time in my life, is really something important more than medicine. It has really given me so much hope, encourage and confidence to fight with the sickness and to stand up from the sick bed.

So, no matter what will happen in the future, I will always thanks God, cherish my lucks, friends and the friendship of us, match my doctors to fight with the sickness, meanwhile, keep learning, thinking and creating something most beautiful for you and for the wonderful world.

Life is limited, a positive life attitude, sincere friendship and true art is everlasting. Do you think so?

How about your life in the week? Do you have anything special to share?

I am just a learner on art of painting, music and English, to work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do a few things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be an Electronic Bridge of Culture Exchange, Chinese Language Learning & Friendship making. To help the others while to improve myself.

I would like to appreciate your understanding, directions, supports and hope to get your friendly direction and help.
