A Special Week -- Shirley's 329th Friendly Greeting, Nov 28, 2011

How are you? Have you started a good new week?

This is a special week on my side.

-- Both of Ms. Ma Xuan and I recovered our music lesson that has been stopped for 4 years in Beijing on Sunday, the 9 anniversary I started to learn to sing.

With excited hearts, we worked for 3 hours together. Except vocalizing, I sang 2 songs under her good coaches. Now I would like to share one of them -- A Pure White Rose on the Bank of Heilong River with you with this letter.

As a part of Chinese cultures, I do hope that the story relates to the song and its lyric that has been translated into English, its Chinese characters that have been explained in English would be some support of the Chinese Learning column of the little web site, while to bring you a big smile. :-)

Along with the condition of music job has been found, I am going to restart my comprehensive exploration here in Beijing.

-- I have signed the lease for 1 year. That means that I will keep completing my study in Chinese National Academy of Arts in Beijing at least for 1 year.

-- Two of my formal classmates, Dr./Mrs. Dai Hui who is a guest instructor in Tsinghua University and Dr.Zhao Peng who is a general manager of a branch company of a famous listed company and his assistant came to see me.

When I saw them in the cold winter, tasted the delicious lunch and dinner in the restuarants, my heart was full of the warm. :-)

With a woman's chariness, Dr. / Mrs. Dai Hui took me to taste the beans flavored with aniseed in Kong Yiji -- a restaurant that was named after the "tragic hero " - Kong Yiji in the short story by Lu Xun.

With a man's caution, Dr. Zhao Peng and his assistant gave me many suggestions how to work on my project.

-- Except attending lessons and completed the assignment in the school, I have also completed the second proposal on my book series by the good directions from a university publishing house.

Something funny this week:

-- I had to jump out of a window of the building at 11:00pm. I was quite happy for about 2 weeks for I had found a gate that was not locked until 11:00pm. However, I did not realize that was locked before 11:00pm Sunday night. In case there were still 2 man schoolmates in the classrooms at that time, otherwise, I would not know how I could leave from the building with my high heel shoes and how to spend the cold night in the office building. :-)

-- I had given back the Television to the landlord for I wanted to have little more place to work at home days ago. However, when my new YAMAHA - a music instrument was moved into my little home that was smaller than the book room at my home in Shenzhen, I had to move something away when I need to act in it -- I kept living here for it is the nearest place to the classroom and it gives me a private room in the totally new environment. :-)

Anyway, just in the condition, both of my music teacher and I have completed our music jobs, so that we smiled that when we write our autobiography someday, we will have something more to write. :-)

How about you? Do you have anything special to share?

I am just a student on Art of Painting, Music, English and Management, to work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do a few things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be an Electronic Bridge of Inter-Art & Cross - Culture Exchange, Chinese Language Learning & Friendship Making. To help the others while to improve myself.

I would like to appreciate you for your understanding, directions, supports and help.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you are welcome to write to shirley@ebridge.cn or leave your message on Message Board.
