A Big Thing -- Shirley's 140th Friendly Greeting -- Mon, May 12, 2008

How are you? I do hope that you are well, have an easy and relaxed weekend.

Last week, one of the biggest things in my city was that the Beijing Olympic Torch was passed successfully in Shenzhen on Thursday and before the activity was started, It Relayed on Mt. Everest for First Time in history on the same day.

About 3 million Shenzhen citizens went out of the doors to welcome the flame and to support the Beijing Olympic Games with much passion in the bright sunshine.

As most of Shenzhen people, all people of our company kept on our working positions. Following the government's call, we did not drive private cars to support the city to keep a better traffic. We came to the company earlier by public vehicles or by walk. Many people attached some beautiful pictures of the torches or some slogans of supporting the Beijing Olympic Games on their chests. We wanted to support it with our work down to earth.

In my work and life, a big thing is that our company has confirmed me to take part in a studying project in a university of a Western country for 1 year.

I was touched, for it not only offers me the opportunity, but also the company will keep my current working position and something else in China. So, when I got this news, I felt so lucky and my heart was full of the appreciation and warm. I did feel that my devotion to the company career in the past many years has been admitted, respected and returned.

With a grateful heart, I have started my preparedness job. I would really like to cherish this opportunity and to do my best to return our company and country with harder working.

If there is no anything special, I will be on the other side of the Ocean in a few months.

How do you think of this mews? Are you happy for me?
I am just a learner on that art of painting, music, calligraphy, languages and to work on the web site in my free time. I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship and Language Learning. To help the others while to improve myself.

I appreciate your understanding, directions and supports. I do hope to get your friendly help...
