I felt quite luck that in Chinese National Academy of Arts, we are encourage to listen to the other lessons in the other classrooms.
So, even though I am major in Chinese flower and bird painting, as long as I have no lesson I would like to go to the other classrooms to attend figure painting or landscape.
On this photo, Professor Han Xuezhong (he is in the middle in the cloth has patterns of blue and white squares) - Head of Teaching Department of Chinese Painting School at Chinese National Academy of Arts gave the students who are majors in Chinese figure painting.
At that moment, he showed us how to express snow and how to paint the background...
The lucky thing was Professor Han Xuezhong commented my recent paintings and he thought that my work to combine the landscape and flower and bird painting together is a good exploration, also, he mentioned out some problems on my paintings.
The biggest guide in his last lesson was: He mentioned the feelings of my former two paintings for Chi Le Chuan were right and they were better than what I did last week.
Here are the two paintings he mentioned. What is your opinion about them?
Anyway, I do appreciate Professor Han Xuezhong and I am going to follow his directions and choose one of them into my new book:
