Mr. John David Lawson is my first American friend whom knew by myself on the second day I came to the USA, Sep 29, 2008.
Before I came to the USA, someone told me, in America, if you needed to help, to find the church. So, on the second day I reached in Springfield, I went to the nearest church.
When I knocked on the gate, a gentleman opened it for me. He was just Mr. John David Lawson.
After I told him that I was a student of Missouri State and I wished to learn American culture from the local people, he gave me a Bible and told me that I could be there when I needed help at any time.
Since then, he sent 2 groups of girl missionaries to help me to learn Bile, and since then, every time, I met something confused, I went to his church and have a talking.
Almost every time, he told me to learn Bible and to pray and communicate with the God.
What I most touched was when I met the biggest difficulties and almost gave up the study, Mr. John David Lawson told me that some one in her church would be my teacher free and also when my Internet had problem, it was also he told me to go to his church to connect Internet.
Later, those kind girl missionaries and I became good friends; his wife and children and I became friends.
Until now, it was he to help me to find apartment, to receive my post mails from China and gave me so much good help...
With a grateful heart, I came to him classroom to have a Bible lesson...
