To be honest, I did not feel too much special when I eat in the little Chinese restaurant usually. However, Dec 6, 2013, I did have some special feelings about this common Chinese restaurant, and their hostess and host.
After all, on the day, all of the public schools in the city was closed because of the bad weather with snow and ice. Their two 8 years old and 11 years old students needed to be looked after at home as well, as a mother, I did know the heart about missing one’s own child.
Therefore, when I saw Mrs. Kathy Xiaoqing Yan and her husband were still working in their small restaurant, a respect feeling suddenly came into my heart. I knew that was not easy for what they were doing!
So that I could not help saying to them, you are truly doing something beneficial to the people's livelihood indeed.
With so much touching and so many appreciations, I stood up and went out of the door, to take some photos for their small restaurant and I did hope that their family members in China would be able to see them and I did hope that their parents would be proud of their children in the US...
I do hope both of Kathy Xiaoqing Yan, his husband and children will be luckier, healthier, happier and more successful.
