This is my 453
Chinese Xieyi Painting and
my 862nd painting since 2003, the 252nd assignment of Chinese National Academy of Arts.
Also, it is my 28th painting in my travel in the USA since Sep 13, 2013.
Since a similar painting was sold in my 3rd art exhibition in Kentucky in May 12, 2013, I have been wishing to paint another one, but, I am in the travel in Missouri now, there is no a piece of paper in the same size. I mean the height of that one is 195cm (76.77 inches) but the highest paper is only 180cm (70.86 inches )in my travel.
So, I tried to paint a small one.
When I worked on it, I thought of the direction of Mr. Lu Wenqing who is my flower and bird painting tutor in Beijing and I paid more attention to use the brush and the Chinese ink. But, I did not pay more attention to the color's change. So that when the colors were dry, I felt the red color was not bright enough.
So, when I have time, I will try to paint it once more and I will pay more attention to the change of the colors when they are wet and dry.
How do you think of this painting? Do you enjoy it?
