This is my 42nd
Chinese Mogu Painting and
my 945th painting since 2003.
Also, it is my 349th assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts.
I drafted this painting many days ago. I drafted it on a piece of paper and used a Chinese silk over it to paint because I did not want to leave any trace of the draft on the silk. However, when I did it, the color dropped the other side of the silk quickly so that my drafted was stained.
Then I realized: Chinese Mogu is different from the Chinese Gongbi, a gongbi painting's color is wet, but less but a Chinese mogu's color is quite wet but it needs a lot.
So, when we use the Chinese silk to paint a Chinese mogu painting, we should not use some different method to work.
Therefore, I put it down for about 18 days, until I completed my 5 big size painting, just I re-worked on it.
How do you think of this painting, do you enjoy it?
