This is my 102nd
Gouache Paintingin
my art lesson.
I have not painted any Gouache painting for about 7 months. And this is the second time that I painted one by the direction of my teacher in my art lesson (
The first Gouache in my art lesson was in June, 2003). In the past 4 year and 7 months, my teacher has taught me to paint
Chinese Xieyi Painting163 times and
Chinese Gongbi Painting a few times. Most of time, I painted my Gouache via teaching myself. :-)
Now my teacher taught that my Chinese Xieying Painting level has reached the level as an art college student of the 3rd year or the 4th year and my Chinese Gongbi Painting has reached the level as an art college student of the 2nd year. So, now it is the time for me to learn Gouache, then oil.
As usual, my teacher did not allow me to make any draft with a pencil at the first and asked me to paint this picture with a brush and color directly since I have painted Chinese Xieyi with a brush for more than 3 years already.
My teacher just told me where I should start, how to arrange and paint the view in the far away, in the middle distance and near place, and how to think of the color. Then, I completed whole of the picture independently. :-)
My teacher thought that I had made a good job because of my good feeling of colors. So, I have gotten 90 marks. :-)
This lesson not only make me more interest in Gouache Painting, the best thing is that I first time realized that the gouaches that I had painted in the past time in fact were not real true Gouaches, but the Chinese paintings with the Gouache colors.
I am shame for my uneducated and I am glad that I have realized it right now. :-) For knowing that I had to work for the company on my Saturday time, so, I drove to the biggest art book store to buy 10 new books of Gouache teaching in my lunch time on Friday. :-)
I do feel good that I have found the strong intersting in Gouache painting. I would really like to paint as many as possible in the coming time. :-)
How do you think of my new picture? Do you enjoy it?
