This is my 128th
Gouache Painting. It is also
my 539th painting since 2003 and the 68th/93rd painting/practice in 2010.
When I am writing this note for you right now, I just realize that since I completed my last gouache (opaque watercolor painting) May 11, 2008, until this Thursday, Nov 4, 2010, I had not painted any gouache for more than 2 years already. Anyway, during the time, I have completed 161 Chinese paintings.
Maybe, it is really the time to paint some the other kind of paintings?
This week, I felt a little bit depression, I am not sure it is because I will have the 3rd operation on Saturday within the short 85 days and its recovery time will for another long 3 week or for I have to take 6 kinds and over 20 pieces pills of medicine each day to treat my backbone and joints, or for some the other reasons, I was in a lower emotion...
However, I knew very clear that I must fight with the bad emotion if I want to totally overcome the diseases.
Therefore, I encouraged myself to read Bible, Chinese classical philosophy and newspapers, to learn English via watching the English TV channel and the lessons of Beijing Foreign Studies University online...
Also, I tried to keep painting. Compared with Chinese painting and gouache, I felt the latter is easier for me. Therefore, I started to create this painting Thursday night.
Can you imagine? Along with the blue sky, the white clouds, the mountains and the water appeared in my painting, my heart was getting calm down, when I finished this painting, I felt I have recovered into the normal, peaceful and positive emotion.
During I was painting the grass and the trees, I tried to use my Gouache Brusher as the style that I used a Chinese brusher. Then I did find an interesting result. :-)
Once more, art of painting is helping me as my soul medicine, and offers me some new inspiration.
How do you think of this picture? Do you like it?
