This is my 49th
Chinese Mogu Painting and
my 960th painting since 2003.
Also, it is my 360th assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts and the 4th painting I painted in my winter vacation at my home in Shenzhen.
After learning Chinese painting for 13 years, now I do find that Chinese Mogu painting is my favorite style. On technique, it has combined Chinese Gongbi and Chinese Xieyi paintings' skills together and it is near close the Western water color paintings.
Also, when I was in China Central Academy of Fine Arts, my classmates said that I was most suitable to paint this kind of painting; in Chinese National Academy of Arts, 3 of my tutors said it was the best painting style for me to study and paint. Plus, I myself most enjoy paint this kind of painting.
So, when I came back home, among the busy work of preparing the English examination and the book writing, as soon as I have time, I tried to paint some Chinese Mogu painting.
I painted this painting twice before, but I did it on the paper, but this time, I tried to paint it on the silk, then I found the result is much better.
I am thinking in the future, I will only paint the little size Chinese Mogu paintings on the silk even though its cost is more than 5 times higher than painting paper; and the work procedure is much more complax. But, I will keep working on it. For me, the result is the No. 1.
How do you think of this painting, do you enjoy it?
