This is my my 1372nd paintings since 2003,the 812ndChinese Xieyi Painting, my 651st Assignments (the 242nd Painting as an candidate of Degree of Master of Fine Arts ) in Chinese National Academy of Arts.
This is the first one of the 3 pictures I did for commemorating my deceased American art and music teacher Mr. Charlie K,who had led me re-go on back the art road since 2002 and passed away in August, 2007...
It is a pity that he had passed away in the year before I went to the USA; it is a luck that I have been keeping working for free for the local students on his motherland for about 10 years already, meanwhile, I have not only gotten my MBA in MO, USA but also gone to the rank of professional artists after majoring in Chinese painting for 8 years in Beijing and working on getting my MFA...
Anyway, many times, when I looked at the beautiful view on the airplanes, in the lands of the USA...I couldn't help asking the sky, the ocean and the mountains: Where is Charlie now?
On each of his birthdays, death anniversaries, Christmas Day or Thanksgiving Days...I have been using to write to him for sharing what I have done and felt in the past one year, to report my plan and dream is in the upcoming new year, to listen to his ideas...although I know clearly that I wouldn't to get any answer, and there would not be anyone else in the world, who can work as him to give me those good directions no matter on my art and music study or how to manage my own life and work... with so much patience, tolerance and...
Anyway, I also know clearly, as a still lived student, the best commemorating to my teacher is to fulfill his dying wishes, to live, study and work better, to make progress every day, and then, to be able to help more people in the world…
