27cm x 27 cm ( 13.38inches x 13.38 inches) Chinese Ink, Silk, Tea
Remarks:
This is My 916th Painting I have completed since 2003 and it is my 51st Chinese Gongbi Painting and the 327th Assignment at Chinese National Academy of Arts Since Oct 7, 2011.
I painted this painting Oct 13 to Oct 21, 2014.
During the process of painting, I attended a series lessons and seminar:
-- A lecture by Professor Li Kuizheng who is a tutor of doctoral students; -- A music and dancing appreciation lesson by Mr. Wu Tong who is the associate dean of Teaching Department of Chinese Painting School at Chinese National Academy of Arts; -- A seminar about Chinese Song Dynasty Painting that held by Mr. Lun Wenqing who is the tutor of Chinese flower and bird lesson; -- A lesson about determining ancient Chinese Paintings.
Also, I bought and read a series books mainly on
-- Researching of Chinese colors; -- Researching of Chinese paintings' structures;
Now I do think that my study in the graduate class of Chinese Painting Creating has truly entered the Researching Phase. With an attitude to Study / Research Traditional Chinese Painting.
If saying 3 years ago, when I first time to paint these ancient Chinese Gongbi Paintings, what I wanted was to be able to paint them. But now, what I want to do is: To master their process, techniques, characters for the purpose to teach at some western schools/ colleges / universities as an artist and a scholar.
To deliver the best part of Chinese ancient culture that was created by our ancestor to the other cultures in the world; while to study and compare with the other cultures in the western cultures and combine them together or bring them back China.
How do you think of this painting? Do you enjoy it?
