Listen to Shirley Singing the Song In Chinese on May 4, 2008Listen to Shirley Singing the Song in English on May 4, 2008The Azalea is a very popular flower in my city. Every spring, there are so many azaleas everywhere and they make the city so beautiful. So, as soon as I heard this song with the name of Azalea, it gave me a very warm feeling.
My first vocal music teacher taught me to sing this song,
Azaleas, in February, 2007 and I introduced its background then, however, I did not sing it in English.
Tonight, when I was singing the song in Chinese and when I re-translated it into and sang it in English, I felt some enjoyment.
I am thinking that my first vocal music teacher Ms. Ma led me through the gate of the musical palace with her hard work over 4 years, while my second vocal music teacher Ms. Huang is leading me up to a new level. My first music teacher led me to visit what there is in the vocal music world; my second music teacher is teaching me to know why they are beautiful and how I should to express the beautiful feelings with a beautiful voice.
My first vocal music teacher was just like a kind sister who led me to see how many fishes were in the sea; my second vocal music teacher is more like an excellent fisher who is teaching me the way to catch the best fish. So, from her directions in only 27 lessons, I have learned so much such that I have started to enjoy singing and recording in the way that she has taught me, independently.
Due to pressure of work, I could not go to my music lesson this week, but I have taught myself and I have sung this song in English and in Chinese and hope you enjoy it.
I really hope that my effort will be of some help to you in learning Chinese culture and in improving your Chinese listening level.
Also, I hope you find that I have made a little progress no matter whether it be in English or in singing.

In the midnight,
to expect the dawn.
In the severe winter,
