This is my 18th
Combined Painting.It is also
my 338th painting since 2003 and the 32th
painting in 2008.
Except keeping having my art lessons, I have not created my combine paintings with music, calligraphy according to a Chinese ancient poems for 3 months.
I was so uncomfortable for I could not paint. I was so desired to paint during I was learning English. So, as soon as my English term examination was finished as a distance student in Beijing Foreign Studies Univeristy, I started painting.
Even thought the organizer of my possible traveling asked me to learn English as much as possible when I am in China, I could not help painting. Even though today is Saturday, I got up early and I started my painting at 7:35 am.
After learning Chinese painting for over 5 years, now I feel so comfortable to create a new picture with color and brushes directly. I mean that I did not make any draft with a pencil at all. :-)
I created this picture for a Chinese classical poem by famous Tang Dynasty poet -- Du Pu. I have written calligraphy on the picture, but, I have not had time to created a piece of music for it yet. But I will do that later.
Here is the main meaning of the poem and Chinese lyrics:
To Find Flowers by the River Alone
By Du Pu ( Tang )
Ms. Huang Si's footpath is full by flowers,
They have covered the branches down,
They have attracted the butterfly to dance,
while they have made the cute birds to sing...
江畔独步寻花 -- Jiang Pan de Bu Xun Hua
唐 杜甫 -- Tang Du Pu
黄四娘家花满蹊 -- Huang Siniang jia hua man xi,
千朵万朵压枝低 -- Qian duo wan duo ya zhi di。
留连戏蝶时时舞 -- Liu lian xi deqie shishi wu,
自在娇莺恰恰啼 -- Zizai jiao qing qiaqia ti。
How do you think of this picture? Do you like it?
