Combined Paintingthat I created for Chinese Classical Poetry, It is also
my 517th painting since 2003 and Also, it is the 47th (68th) painting (practice) that I have created in 2010.
These days, instead of having art lessons since my Chinese art professor is busy on his end term work in the Shenzhen campus of Xian Art College and too many tutor jobs for his the other students who would like attend the entrance examination of art colleges and high schools... I have been teaching myself on painting plum blossoms.
To be honest, I did not very like to paint this flower very much before, most of time, my teacher asked me to paint, and then I painted it.
But, since I truly realized that my health has dropped into the bad level that is blocking my work and making my dreams to be true, from working on improving it for a while, giving up for a while, until now, working hard to struggle with the sickness... recently, I have been in the emotion to learn and to create the little flowers ? try to face the difficult time with a more positive life attitude.
So, I have created 8 pictures of plum blossoms already just in the past 2 weeks.
The more create it, the more I enjoy paint it. The more paint it, the more I think and feel from its quality.
With many thoughts and feelings, this week, I have created 4 pictures of plum blossoms already. During the process, I have had some idea to write a poem by Mr. Mao Zedong on my painting. And I wanted to use and sing a piece of ready-made music to match my painting and the poem. But, I did not think the music is suitable for me to sing in English.
So, I created a piece of music to match the poem and the painting by myself.
I also try to explain the meaning of the poem on my painting and every Chinese character in the Chinese Language Learning on my web site, and made the recording to help you to read it and remember the new words.
You can hit the link over to find it and also you can hit any Chinese Character below to learn the meaning of any Chinese character, Pronunciation and follow me to read it.
Even though my eyes cannot see clear yet, I am working with my experience and familiar with my system now, I guess that my Chinese level, voice and painting creating may be a little bit help to you and the other more than 3200 registered friends on the little web site. (Now the number is about 5000)
So, I am keeping working on the little Inter-Arts and Cross-Culture web site with smiles, to help the others and to improve myself... to help you to improver your Chinese level and to learn Chinese culture...
The Main Meaning of the LyricBu Suan Zi • Ode to the Plum Blossoms
By Mao Zedong (1893 - 1976)
(Reading Lu You's Lyrics -- Bu Suan Zi • Ode to the Plum Blossom, write with the same tune, but the opposite meaning.)
The wind and rain saw tthe spring off,
The flying snow welcomes it back.
Though the cliff is still covered with the ice,
There is a plum blossom pretty.
Never vie with spring for her beauty,
Just being the messenger of the spring.
When the mountain flowers are in full bloom,
She will smile in the blossoms.
