They are my 240th and 241st
Chinese Xieyi Painting and
my 410th and 411st picture since 2003, the 40th and 41st picture that I have created in 2009 and the 41st and 42nd painting in the US.
After creating 18 pictures of peonies continuously, I just realized that I have "owed" so many homework that my Chinese art teacher required me to complete already.
So, I created a new one as my assignments Saturday night.
I did not satisfying the first picture for the bird is too small and the main branch of the tree is too straight. So, I created the second one and I changed the way to paint the leaves... anyway, the ink of the sign was too wet and destroyed whole of the painting.
Instead of keeping the white background as most of traditional Chinese Xieyi painting, I added some background with colors. I wished to create my own painting style with "Traditional style + something in my mind".
However, Sunday morning, when I got up and I found the colors of the second one sounds like too light and lack change. :-)
So, you see, the first one has a better color, but the branch lacks change and the bird is too small; the second one's branch is better, but the color is a little bit light. :-) No one is good enough yet. So, I will have to re-create it as soon as I have time. ;-)
How do you think of the two painting? Which one seems like better?
