 LISTEN TO THE MUSIC
 Tonight, when I was having my dinner while I was listening to a music program by China Center TV station before I started my long time working Sunday night, I was caught by the music -- Vitava River by Bedrich Smetana (1824-1884) so that I changed my idea and tried to correct one of my music notes that I had written in 2001 and I would really like to share it with you.
You listen to: a tiny stream that originates from a peak with ice and snow, runs with another little stream together, then, flows fast and fast to change to be a big river to go through high mountains, vast plains, thick forests, peaceful villages, to visits delighted people, wonderful dances鈥� It runs from mornings to nights, in the sunshine and the moonlight, sometimes it is so powerful that it can split a mountain, floods all of things, sometimes it is so tender and clam, just likes a lovely and peaceful girl... it is remembering and recording the happiness and unlucky of human being, sounds like an eyewitness of history and humanity
When I was hearing it, I sounded like see the snow on the mountain, saw the stream flows grass land, felt the white clouds in the sky and the sunshine in the daybreak and the nightfall...Also made me think of the views and castles beside of Rhine in Germany, the art gallery on the bank of Sina River in Paris, also like seeing the great Alps in Austria and the great Yellow River in China Even though, it is just writing a river in Czech...
I really feel that when the musician created his/her greatest music, he or she maybe just wanted to expressing his or her personal feelings, wrote something for a simple aim. That is why, music is very personal sometimes. But, a same music will have a different meaning for different people who have different life experience.
Meanwhile, music is also very public. A piece of good music can arouse resonance of the others, gives the others enjoyment for its beautiful, powerful, or just a little easy and relax. At this time, the function of the music that was written for one person, one thing, or some narrow aim can be extended to be the biggest. The positive affection of music can be extended to the biggest style.
So, I do feel that music belongs to all of human being. Music is a kind of international language. Music is the best bridge of different cultures, countries and people. Art is same. Do you think so?
