LISTEN TO THE TEXTLISTEN TO SHIRLEY PLAY & SING THE POEM
Hi, friends, have you been to somewhere that is far away from your homeplace and how do you express your missing heart to your hometown?
Now, I would like to introduce a new Chinese classical poem that was written by Tang Dynasty(618 - 907) poet Zhang Jingzhong Bian Ci -- Lyrics of the Frontier. I enjoy this poem for it has expressed the poet's missing feelings to his hometown with a very artistic style -- to write and compare the different landscapes in both of the local and in his hometown, one is in his eyeshot, the other is in his imagination ? Even though at the same season, one is still a view as the end of the winter and the other is just like the earlier summer... :-)
As usual, I have written a piece of music to match it.
I do hope that my poem comments, music and singing will be a little bit help to your Chinese learning...
