Friday night, when I was working on my lesson of Organizational Behavior, the theory of Hierarchy Needs by Maslow made me think of how my fate changes with my motherland together, made me realize that no matter an individual or an organization can not really maximize their own value if they leave from their own social environment. So, we have to stand our social responsibility as most of Chinese people did during the disaster of earthquake hit China last May. So, I could not help stopping my reading and re-translate, re-sang and re-record this song. Hope you enjoy it and be helpful to you to know more about Chinese culture and to improve your Chinese listening ability.

In the face of the huge earthquake disaster on May 12, the response of the Chinese government, army and people has touched my heart deeply.
As soon as I come home each day, I want to turn on my TV to see the what the situation is in the disaster area. However, I am also a little bit scared to do so because I can not help but weep at what I see.
The strongest feeling I have is of the ruthlessness of the disaster, but I also feel that there is still love in the world. Thousands and thousands Chinese people are thinking and doing the same thing -- offering help and support in anyway we can.
I strongly feel that China and the Chinese people are an optimistic country and nation. I have confidence in my country and people. I am proud of myself as a Chinese.
As a common Chinese person, I feel that I should share in the hard times with my motherland and with the people in the disaster area by performing my own duty, working harder in my current position while doing something directly to help. So, after making a donation, I would like to sing this song to express my love and affection for my country and people.
I do hope it will some help to you in learning about Chinese culture and in improving your Chinese listening level. Listen to Shirley Sing the Song In Chinese Feb 27, 2009 in the US Listen to Shirley Sing the Song in English Feb 27, 2009 in the US
MAIN MEANING OF THE SONG
In love, In affection, No matter in suffering or happiness, I am calling you. In singing, in dreamland, we are depending on each other, I deeply love you. Even through you're in the heavy rain and wind I will not leave from you. When the world is smiling for you, I will be in your tears...
You love me, I love you. You are the mountains and seas, I am embracing you. You are just me, I am just you, bone of the bone and flesh, we are together. Even though I fall down on the ground, My heart is lifting up you. When you're standing up i the sunrise, I will be in your profile.
