Hi,Dear Friends
How are you? Have you started a good new week?
I started this letter to you in the garden of the teaching department of Chinese School at Chinese National Academy of Arts at about 6:30am Sunday morning, before the teaching building was opened. :- )
Do you know? With the former monitor of our class in China Central Academy of Fine Arts and another former schoolfellow together, we went back to CAFA to visit our former tutor and my first Chinese landscape teacher – Mr. Li Gang. Looked at my new book, DVD and new paintings, with a big smile, he checked and commented my last works, and he was so surprised at my progress in the short 2 years in CNAA. He thought that I have entered the professional field already, and he said that he was really confident with me right now, so that they would take me with them together in case they organize some artistic activities in the future. With many smiles and delight hearts, we had a good talking and Mr. Li offered us a good lesson with the theory of Taoism for a few hours. :- )
In my current school - Chinese National Academy of Arts, Prof. Man Weiqi who is the tutor of master students and the executive dean of Chinese Painting School came to our classrooms, he checked my works and he directed me how to create my own style base on study from the greatest artists and the nature.
Except continuing to work on a landscape 139.80 cm x 188.70cm ( 54.72 inches x 74.29 inches), I did much thinking and work to connect my professors, tutors, former colleagues, work partners and friends, to discuss how to find a road that can help me to continue my comprehensive art study, exploration and creation with an more effectual work model.
At a noon, I walked back home for lunch in the hot sunshine, without any umbrella in my hand, I had to find the nearest road there were most shades. Then I found it that I walked about 80% of my road in the shades among the buildings and the trees, so that I thought the words of Mr. Lu Xun who is one of the greatest litterateur and thinkers in Chinese modern history: " There was no any road in the world at the first, but for people walked more, and then there are roads..." Since then, I have been thinking there are thousand and ten thousand roads in the world, they are hiding but existing somewhere certainly, the key is that we have to use our minds, time and energy to discover it. If we work enough, we would certainly find the best, the nearest and the most suitable road for our career, work and dream. Right?
How about you? Do you have anything special to share this week?
