Hi,Dear Friends
How are you? :-)
This is just a note to you to say Hello, before I start off my new travel to go to Wuyi Mountains in Jiangxi Province in less than 10 hours.
With this short letter, I would like to share something that I have done this week in Chinese National Academy of Arts and hope to bring you a big smile.
Do you know? Today, I have handed in 6 paintings (3 landscapes and 3 flower and bird paintings) as my graduated works and my tutors will choose 2 or 3 pieces of them to publish in our new book and to exhibit them in our graduated exhibition before we finish the study of 2012 class year in July.
Originally, I did not want to hand in the painting of flowers below for I did not think that I had done it well yet, but my tutor Mr. Sun Qi thought it showed that I had made a quite big progress (I was trying to paint a Chinese Gongbi Painting with Chinese Mogu and Xieyi Painting styles, almost all classmates thought that I am doing a very fine and interesting things... :-)); also, he suggested me enlarging my study purpose and scope, do not limit myself in the too narrow project that I have done at this time. Because, in his opinions, I should be able to do much more and better jobs in painting field, also, he has directed me to re-paint this painting on some special paper. According to Mr. Sun Qi's idea, I handed in it. But, I would certainly re-paint it some day...
This week, also I have gotten some good directions and advice from Prof. Hai Xuezhong who is the dean of the teaching department of the Graduate School and Chinese Painting School at CNAA and Mr. Lu Wenqing face to face.
Now my feeling is: It is so nice to come back the school… :- ) So that I am thinking that maybe I should start my 4 th year’s study in Beijing since Sep, 2013?
How about you? Do you have anything special to share?
