Hi,Dear Friends
How are you?
I started this letter to you at 7:15am, Sunday morning.
Except the big earthquake in Sichuang Province, China, the things shocked me this week are the cases related to the young people in the campuses of Universities: the explosion in the marathon and the gun fight at Boston University on April 15 and April 20; a master student who would be a doctor student soon was killed by someone with poison at Fudan University, Shanghai, April 16; another similar case that a beautiful girl was crippled with poison by someone at Qinghua University years ago...
I was so sad for so many people who have lost their lives or were injured in these disasters of both natural and human origin, I cannot help asking: why were these so cruel human evils made by those so young people who have had the good or the best education conditions or opportunities?
It made me re-think of the story about Mr. Luxun – one of the greatest litterateurs in Chinese modern litterateur history , who gave up his study on medicine, but worked on literature for whole of his life after he had realized that to help people to have healthy souls would be important more than to help them to have sound bodies.
It has also strengthened my sense of mission to work on my current project continuously.
Even though what I am working on is just a little project that wishes to help people's souls in the spiritual world via arts, if everyone in the world could do something little but positive, maybe this world would be full of the love, kindness and friendship and reduce the massacre, hate and discord along with the time?
So, no matter what will happen on my little project, how many difficulties I am facing and I will meet, I am going to keep working on it, until the end of my life.
This week, for making the album of my paintings (as a remedy before my formal publication is published by the publishing house ) will be printed with a better quality earlier -- since I have changed my tickets for my second travel, I did hope to send some of it to my destination by post instead of carrying it with me only, I got up at 3:30am or 6:30am to start work often, even though it will not be printed in time as I wished because the elements that I could not control yet, I will not have any pity already.
Anyway, I have completed 11 of the 12 paintings in a group of paintings that I must complete before my travel until last night.
Also, I have started to learn some design software since Friday, I do wish that I can do some design jobs by myself instead of asking help always in the near future.
I was also lucky enough that my former bosses in my last companies in the securities industry – Shenzhen Securities Information Co. Ltd. and Shenzhen Panorama Network Co. Ltd sent 3 assistant general managers and a group of department managers to see me Thursday evening, we had a good dinner, talking and some of them checked a part of my art works.
With a grateful heart, I wrote a letter to the president and the general manager of the companies, to express my so much appreciation for their long-term directions, help and supports.
Another good news is that my son who is in Australia has been promoted after working for about a half year, I am really proud of him, while I do appreciate his boss for his/or her good insight... :-)
Oh, when I would like to send this letter to you, I got the news that the people who were injured in the earthquake in Sichuan Province had been 11227 already. As a Chinese, I would really like to do something for my compatriots. So, tomorrow, I will send 10% of my pension for one month to the company, as my little donation to the people in the disaster area.
How about you? Do you have anything special to share?
