Hi,Dear Friends
How are you?
There are some things bad and good on my side.
The bad news is that I started to feel to be burnt out while some sick phenomenon has come back to me, so that I have to remind myself being in carefulness and take some more time to have a sleep since I know that almost all of the sicknesses on my body because of the too much work and the too less sleeping.
The good news is that my exploration on creating my own combined art style have gotten many supports when it has been called in question.
-- Professor Chen Ping who is an Assistant Dean of Chinese Painting School at China Central Academy of Fine Arts thought that my exploration is meaningful and he thought that the final competation in Chinese painting field is not the painting skills, but the Literary Power, specially it will be the competation on the poetry.
Meanwhile, he also pointed out that I should paint more ancient painting, especially to learn from the artists who lived in Song Dynastry and Yuan Dynastry. At least, I should paint 100 ancient paintings by learning from them, then I would be able to create something good with my own style.
Also, he required me to listen to more classical Chinese music by those famous musicians.
Follow his directions, since July, 2011, I have painted 40 ancient paintings by learning from those great acient Chinese artists and I hope to complete the assignment within 2 years.
-- Professor Li Yang who is an Assistant Dean of Chinese Painting School at China Central Academy of Fine Arts also thought that my project is meaningful but it is one of the most difficult jobs since it requires the persons who are working on it have a high culture not only on painting, but also on music, literature and language.
-- Professor Man Weiqi who is the Executive Dean of Chinese Painting School at Chinese National Academy of Arts listened to my introductions about my thoughts and explorations seriously and he encouraged me to do more study, think and explor on the project...
-- Some publishing organization and many readers of mine are interested in my explorations and we are working hard to create something beautiful and meaningful together...
I am sure that the future will be bright and the road will be quite hard to go, but, no matter what has happened, I will not give up.
Therefore, I have decided to return my airplane ticket and postponed the time to go back to Beijing, by the good help of my music professor, I will enter the recording studio to complete my first group of Music Records in the end of February,2012.
With much faith, this week, I have re-painted a new painting of plum blossom and I have re-written the music for the lyric Ode to the Plum Blossom by Mr. Mao Zedong, I would really like to learn the beautiful qualities of plum blossoms, to pursue my art dream firmly.
Now, one of my difficulties is on English, except the good help from my English tutors via emails and the long distance calls. I am looking forward to get more directions face to face while to do more tests on my own combined art exploration.
Therefore, if you or your friends who are interested in cross-culture exchange, cross-art exploration and wants to be a volunteer English totor in Beijing, Shenzhen or in Wuxi, I will be very happy to be a good English student; as a return or exchange, I would also like to be a good Chinese tutor at the same time. :-)
How about you? Do you have anything special to share?
