Hi,Dear Friends
 How are you? Have you had a good week? I do hope that everything is well with you and you are enjoying a relaxed weekend.
This is really a great week that our city Shenzhen is successful on the competition to be the host city of the Summer Universiade in 2011. When the good news came to the city from far away Turin, Italy, whole of the city was boiling and people celebrating the great success with different ways.
I am so happy for the good news as one of residents and builders of the city. And I have given my time, energy and life, for about 15 years to the young city, that has only 26 years in history. So I would like to write something from now about my city and to show you something more via my writing and pictures. After all, I love my city and many people thought that this is a city that has the beauty as San Francisco and the quick speed as N.Y. C.
In the company I worked on my greater amount of meetings. Besides the daily manager meetings, I attended many conversazione with general colleagues, engineers, editors, reporters, designers, photographers, hosts/hostess of the TV programs, translators and so on, to hear their comments about our work in 2006 and the suggestions for our work in 2007.
After a written investigation into all of the people in the company, we published some documents to encourage everyone in the company to compete the position that is higher then their current position. No matter a manager department manager or a vice department manager position, we would like to find more talent young people from our team and to choose the best ones and put them on the positions that is suitable for them. To keep our management team energetic, creative and to be the most excellent one.
I am still working on my researching work and I do feel lucky to have some opportunities to help the company to make our practice work to be stepped up on a theory level. Meanwhile, I painted much more in my free time with more free and more relaxed heart and style. -- I worked in my office Saturday and Sunday, so that I did not have time to make my 3rd new picture this week to be yet attached. Both of my work and life are busy and delightful. I do feel happy and lucky as a person who can enjoy the double beauty every day.

Shirley Created Art -- Chinese Xieyi -- 0117: Double Beauty
My teacher was surprised for my progress on the last three pictures and he felt a huge achievement feeling for my progress in the past 3 years and 7 months. After all, I could have only one lesson, for 2 or 3 hours, every week. So, he decided to make some innovation to train me in the coming time. Also, I was asked to re-create my 116th Chinese Xieyi Painting once more and to correct the problems in it. I felt that it is better than the last one. My teacher thought that it was a good work, but he was not satisfied with my work on the left part yet and he did not think that I should paint the little flowers there. I should leave that room for the title, my name and time with Chinese calligraphy. Since I had painted the flowers there, then I had to reduce two lines in my calligraphy part. Ha, what a serious and responsible teacher it is !

Shirley Created Art -- Chinese Xieyi -- 0116: Spring Flowers
I created this picture on Tuesday. There was a composition of the picture in my mind last Friday, but I started it at my lunch time Tuesday noon, for only 40 minutes. Then, I completed it in the night for 5.5 hours. My teacher was so happy and thought that my last 4 paintings were a symbol, that my Chinese Xieyi painting level has entered a new phase. Once more, he thought that both my Gongbi and Xieyi paining level have made me entering in the level to be a professional artist. Anyway, I have to realize that on this picture, the tail of one bird is too long. The left part of the picture lacks some branches of the peonies to echo the same flowers on right part. The technique of drawing is little bit childlike; the title is not poetic yet... Do you enjoy this picture? What is your thought about it?

Shirly Sung China (Xinjiang) Folk Song--046: The Snow Lotus on the Ice Mountain
I am lucky that my vocal music teacher, Ms. Ma, has come back from Beijing and I will have another 7 or 8 months to learn from her and I would like to cherish the short period. Anyway I am thinking that I should learn to accompany myself with piano. Now I just accompany myself with an electronic organ for my own music to match the Chinese classical poems. Also I will think of finding another vocal music teacher before Ms. Ma will leave for Beijing. This song now is from a Chinese movie ? The Guests in the Ice Mountain, to express how a boy is encouraging a girl to keep in the difficult situation and how the girl thanks for his help and friendship. Hope you enjoy it.

Chinese Classical Poem 0075 & Shirley Created Music-0065: Dali Si Taohua -- Peachblossoms of Dali Temple
I am sure, you love spring as I do. However, have you experienced the happiness that when you thought that spring has gone already in April, then, you suddenly find some spring flowers somewhere? It is just the delight feeling with a lovely surprise in the poem by Tang Dynasty (A.D. 618 - 917) poet Bai Juyi ( A. D.772 ? 846 ). As usual, I have written a piece of music to match it and hope to bring you a big smile.

China Tour -- 004: Shenzhen -- My 4th Hometown -01
You will see some pictures of Shenzhen via the link, a young city that is only 26 years old. Since I stepped on the city's land on Dec 31, 1991, I have been here for 15 years. When I knew that Shenzhen has become the host city of the 26th World University Students Sport Game in 2011, I am happy and proud of myself as a Shenzhen resident and one of the builders of it. Same as the city itself, I have grown up together with it. To enter the new industries one by one, journalism, IT, financial information, administration! To make my dreams of art, music, English and French to be true, to create a comfortable life and to be called "a golden collar". It is Shenzhen that gives all of these to me. She has become my 4th hometown. I would like to introduce something about it from now and hope you enjoy them.

I am just a learner on art, music, English, French and the work on the web site in my free time. Anyway, I would really like to do a little bit things with what I have learned to make this little web site to be An Electronic Bridge Of Culture Exchange, Friendship and Language Learning. During the process to help the others and to improve myself.
