LISTEN TO TEXT
Hi friends, the day before yesterday, as soon as I had completed my last picture, Water Lily Girl, I felt that I knew what the topic of this week's Daily Chinese should be. Because the Water Lily is an important part of Chinese culture, the Chinese have been planting these flowers since the Qin Dynasty (221 B.C. ? 206 B.C.), and consider it, together with the Plum Blossom and the Chrysanthemum as one of the “gentlemen” of the flowers... :-) It has been admired in art and literature from ancient times to the present day, so today I would like to offer you a few sentences showing you how the Chinese talk about the Water Lily.
