This is my 38th Combined Paintingthat I created for Chinese Classical Poetry, andmy 522nd painting since 2003.Also, it is the 53th(79th) painting (practice) that I have created in 2010.
Last week, as soon as I completed my 12nd painting of golden pheasant, I felt the artistic conception in the painting is very suitable to express a poem's meaning -- a poet found a branch of white plum blossom by a bridge far away from the village in the early spring, so that he thought that was the snow that was not melt yet. :-)
Instead of creating a person in my painting, I wanted to paint some golden pheasants to express the meaning of this poem. Let them express the surprise feeling of the poet. :-)
How do you think of my idea? Do you think that I have expressed the meaning with my golden pheasants appropriately?
By the way, do you know why Chinese enjoy painting the golden pheasant? Do you know the culture behind the birds? I will let you know that next time when I am in the emotion to create a new golden pheasant. :-)
The Main Meaning of the Poem
A plum tree is covered by her flowers, just like a white jade in the cold, It is by a bridge far away from village. Don鈥檛 know the flowers're blossoming early by the water, Doubt it鈥檚 the snow in the winter has not melted yet.
