This is my 19th Combined Paintingthat I created for Chinese Classical Poetry, It is also my 339th painting since 2003 and the 33rd painting that I have painted in 2008.
This is the second weekend after the English examinations of my first term in Beijing Foreign Studies University as a distance part time student. Even though I would start a short international traveling in several days, then to prepare the other possible longtime international traveling for 1 year, the desire of painting made me start to paint at 7:30am Saturday morning.
Maybe for the painting desire was hidden in my heart for too long time, maybe for too many feelings needed to be expressed via a painting, I did not feel enough after I had completed my first picture. I wanted to create this one as soon as put down my brushes and cleaned my tools. After I completed this one, I still wanted to create a new one. :-)
Except cooked and ate a simple lunch, I stood by my picture for about 14 hours, from 7:30am to 9:30 pm. on Saturday. I felt a little bit tired on my body. My mind was still excited. With much happy, peaceful and enjoyed feeling, I felt the mysterious and charm of painting again.
Meanwhile, I am really happy for the hard working on painting learning for 5 years is bringing me an enjoyment on the using of painting skills.
I created my peonies and chrysanthemums with brushes and colors directly. I just paint according the flowers and birds in my mind, with my colors and brushes... the freedom of imagine, the freedom of color's using really have brought me into a lovely art world... I was dancing via my brushes; I was singing via my birds; I was enjoying the happiness of creating in a huge art world.
I created this picture for a Chinese classical lyric. I had created a piece of music for it a few months ago. You are welcome to see its meaning, writing background and the calligraphy via the links. I have also created a piece of music to match it in Nov, 2007 and hope it will be a help to you to understand the poem.
How do you think of this picture? Do you like it?
