Completed Time: Dec 29, 2013 |
Remarks: This is my 450Chinese Xieyi Painting and my 855th painting since 2003, the 245th assignment of Chinese National Academy of Arts.
Also, it is my 22nd painting in my travel in the USA since Sep 13, 2013.
Golden pheasant's Chinese pronunciation is Jin Ji. Jin means Jin Xiu - beautiful or splendid; Jin means lucky or propitious.
Therefore, in Chinese culture, a golden pheasant of painting is usually to express the meaning of having not only good luck and happiness, but also having a beautiful future, it is a very popular in Chinese traditional painting field.
Also, when people painted a golden pheasant + some flowers, means " Jin Shang Tian Hua -- add a beautiful thing to a contrasting beautiful thing"
I have painted many paintings of golden pheasants, this is the second Golden pheasant in my travel since Sep, 2013.
I feel the bird part is not bad on my this painting, but the colors of the leaves lack some deep colors, they are too similar. Right?
So, I am not very satisfy this painting yet. I will re-paint it some day.
How do you think of this painting? Do you like it?
