This is my 252ndChinese Xieyi Painting and my 475th painting since 2003.Also, it is the 2nd painting that I have painted in 2010.
Bamboo is an important content in Chinese culture.
We love bamboo not only for it is the symbol of the straightness, honest, modest, just like a gentleman, but also for its beautiful feature, just like a pretty girl. When I was in Wuxi City, one thing I most like to do was to go in the bamboo forest by the Tai Lake, to feel the shadow and wind that they had brought us in the hot summer, to look at their beautiful feature that as groups of girls who were who were dancing in the green dress ...
Later, when I chose an apartment for myself in Shenzhen, I chose the one that I am living in right now, one of the reasons for I enjoyed the bamboos' garden around the building and the peaceful feeling... Even though as soon as I moved into it 12 years ago, a half of the bamboos' garden was cut down for building a overpass, I still like to see the left bamboos and to feel the beautiful figures…
So, in 2006 and 2007, I created and corrected a piece of music to match a Chinese poem and to praise the bamboo. Then in 2010, last weekend, I created a new painting to match my music and the poem, this weekend, I translated and sung it in English.
