Shirley Written Chinese Calligraphy of the Poem July 4, 2007
This is my 5th exploring to make picture, poem, music and calligraphy together.
It is also the first time that I created a landscape totally independence. I mean that I had painted my landscape by the watching of my teacher in my art lessons and also I had painted a landscape according to a picture or a photo before. But now, I am learning to create totally alone and I do enjoy the creative process.
For expressing the basic meaning of the poem:
When I was still on the brook, I heard the sound of a bell from the far away Bailin Temple, I berthed my boat and walked through a pine forest along a little path. After the rain, Weather was fair, Mountains were green, Clouds were still around, Just like someone has painted Four or five peaks southwest... :-)

I thought for two days, then, I got up at about 6:30 and started it before I went to my office on Wed, then, I came back home to paint for about 30 minutes in my lunch time. Then, I completed it in the night, after my music lesson -- I made my music lesson ahead for I wanted to accompany my son who would come back to China to visit me from Australia Saturday night. :-)
Oh, I will go to have a traveling in 2 hours and I will learn from the nature and try to paint something more for you and also for myself... :-)
How do you see this picture? Do you enjoy it?
