Remarks: They are my 239thChinese Xieyi Painting and my 409th picture since 2003, the 39th picture that I have created in 2009 and the 40th painting in the US.
I am lucky enough to get the help and support by the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. My first personal art exhibition will open on September 4, in Springfield, Missouri of the US.
With an endless grateful heart, and want to repay the local Chamber of Commerce, the College of Business Administration of Missouri State University, all of the professors and friends who have taught me or helped me, I am trying to do my best to improve my painting level and create some new painting as soon as I complete my lesson.
Since time dones not allow me to create any Chinese Gongbi Painting, I have been working on my new Chinese Xieyi Painting.
Every day, I work for 17 or 18 hours and go to sleep at 2:00am or 3:00am. Just within the 2 weeks after I moved into my new apartment, I have created 8 pictures and my sitting room has changed to be a little “garden”. :-)
Anyway, the 8 paintings in fact are 2 pictures. I mean except the blue peonies and the violet peonies -- because I did not satisfy the other paintings, and Chinese Xieyi Painting does not allow me to make any draft, it cannot be corrected in case we paint a brusher on the paper. The only way to correct the wrong brush, is to re-create whole of the painting. So, I had to try, to explore, to correct and to adjust once and once, until Friday evening, when I put down my brusher, I have tried to create the same picture for 6 times.
Even though almost all of the neighbors who go through my window enjoy my paintings and some of them want to buy them. I know clear threw are many problems on every picture. So, I would like to try, explore and improve my painting level continuously...
So, except sending the No.5 to the English teacher, I just want to keep the No.6 in my hand and throw the other 4 ones into the garbage can.
How do you think of the 6 paintings? Do you think I have made some progress one by one?
