This is my 107th Chinese Xieyi -- Freehand Brushworks that I created in my art lesson on Wednesday night. :-)
This is the first time that I learned to paint an egret. My teacher used brown colors on the leaves and water on his demonstration painting to express the autumn, but, I wanted to add some green and blue in them. :-) My teacher smiled and agreed me to try and admired me for I could use my own mind to think and work...
I think, maybe that is why I have been keeping learning from my current art teacher for 3 and a half years already, because he allows me to try according to my own thoughts and never limits my imagination and be good to lead my thoughts to be on a right way to develop myself with a free way ? almost all of my Gouache Painting and Chinese Gong Bi Painting were drafted and colored by myself and my teacher only gave me some comments when he comes to offer me an art lesson and most of time, we just paint Chinese Xieyi Painting and all of the other two kinds painting was completed by myself... My current art teacher is never as my the other art teacher whom was fired by me just taught me for 6 weeks even though I had paid for 10 weeks. I rather than lost money and I did not want to be limited too much. After all, art itself is something to create... :-) Do you agree with me?
My teacher gave me 90 marks and one of my friends gave me 91 marks. :-) But, I wanted to give myself 85 marks because I did feel that the necks of my birds were too short. How do you think of it? Do you enjoy this picture?
