Title: Chinese Xieyi--080(Flower and Bird): Flowers From the Deep Mountains |
Artist: Shirley Zhang |
Size: 45cm x 67cm |
Completed Time: Wed, June 14, 2006 |
Remarks: This is my 80th Chinese Xieyi -- Freehand Brushworks that I created in my art lesson. My teacher was interested in what I created in my last art lesson and he hoped me to keep painting this kind of pictures for a while, to make it to be my own style... :-)
My teacher thought this is a successful picture and he thought the best part is its background, the purple bud and the golden flower over the stone. The problem is the colors on the two flowers below are not very harmonious... Also, I myself think that the leaves are also a little bit disorderly...
I do feel that along with the learning, especially after I started to learn the painting of landscape, a new window has been opened for me. I really want to move my bird and flower painting into a bigger background of the landscape to create a new and deep and far away art result...
What is your thought about it? Do you enjoy my idea?
