Completed Time: Thur, Feb 16, 2006 |
Remarks: This is my 64th Chinese Xieyi - freehand brush works painting and my first Big Xieyi ? Freehand Brushworks. Last night, in my art lesson, my art teacher was so satisfy to My 16th Chinese Gongbi Painting -- Out Of Flute , and would like to teach me a new Chinese painting style -- Big Xiyi -- Chinese painting's highest bourn.
Chinese Xieyi includes Little Xieyi and Big Xiyi. The former is painted and colored by brush one by one, the latter is painted and colored with more daring style. Instead of painting and coloring a picture one brush and one brush, color is flowed on the paper. I mean we make the color into very wet situation as water then pour the color on the picture and let the color itself to soak on the paper, to make of an special art result. :-)
Both of little Xiyi and Big Xieyi should not be allowed to draft with a pencil at the first. So. It requires a higher ability on composition of a picture and color’s usage.
I do enjoy the way to paint a Big Xieyi picture and I do feel that this kind of picture can make a person to express his (her) feelings and emotions thoroughly. :-) It is more difficult to master and it is more comfortable to paint. So, I do feel this kind of picture is more suitable to the artist who has a wider heart and greater dream... :-)
Do you enjoy Big Xie or Chinese Gongbi Painting or Gouache Painting?
