Artist: |
Size: |
Completed Time: May 29, 2014 |
Remarks: Professor Man Weiqi -Associate Executive Dean of Chinese Painting School at Chinese National Academy of Arts is one of the mentors who has helped me and impact me positively most since 2011.
This impact is on two hands:
First of all, he was the professor who has helped me to fix a most suitable academic road to go -- whom I should learn in Chinese Art history, how to learn, and how to create my own painting style base on learn from the ancient masters and study the tradition and paint from the nature.
It was him to hold and to correct my direction at several time when I deviated on the other places.
Secondly, the Teaching Department of Chinese Painting School at CNAA has found a series wonderful teaching methods. Base on the general teaching of "Learning from the Tradition + Painting from the Nature + Creating", they emphasize the teaching of individualized according to each student's characters and desire. So that they have trained many excellent artists for the country.
Also for this reason and for each day I can learn something new and helpful, so that I could keep study in a quite hard living conditions in a new area in Beijing for 3 years.
Thirdly, he has set up an very good example as a leader of the college and a famous artist, with his sincere attitude to treat his students and his staff, so that I had heard many good comments about him before he met me first time Nov, 2011 (I was in the USA when the school started in the middle of Sept, 2011).
As a student who has gotten so much help, directions and support, I would really like to hope Professor Man Weiqi, his family members and all of the staff of Chinese Painting School at Chinese National Academy of Arts will be luckier, healthier and more successful.
