Title: Joanna was learning to paint with a Chinese painting with Chinese brush and ink at my temporary home in Springfield, MO, USA on the second day of Christams, Dec 26, 2013
Artist:
Size:
Completed Time: Dec 26, 2013
Remarks:
After offering 99 free Chinese painting and poetry class for 2300 American students, I do find it was a little bit difficult for the too young students to use a Chinese brush directly.

So, from my 100th class, when I was facing a girl who is just 11 years old, I changed my teaching method and taught her to draft the painting with the pencil at the first, then to taught her to make Chinese ink by herself, to make a Chinese brush wet, then to paint with Chinese brush and Chinese ink.

On this painting, Joanna was learning to use a Chinese brush to paint her first Chinese painting.

She was quite smart and had a very good feeling about Chinese painting. I was really confident with her. :-)
