Remarks: This is My 914th Painting I have completed since 2003 and it is my 46th Chinese Gongbi Painting and the 323rd Assignment at Chinese National Academy of Arts Since Oct 7, 2011.
I painted this painting first time in Sep, 2011, but I sent it to a friend in July, 2012. So, this time, on the second day of the new class-year of Chinese National Academy of Arts in Beijing, I restarted to paint it once more.
Can you imagine how long time I have worked on it? For 7 days, from Sept 24 to Oct 1, however, I painted two paintings at the same time and also I attended 3 lessons during the time.
The biggest lesson I have gotten from this painting was: Never paint the lines of the petals too dark. Do you know why? I painted the lines of the petals too deep, then, for making it lighter, I had to work on it for more than 2 days. Then I found another different result, then almost all classmates who looked this painting, thought it was not bad.
How do you think of this painting? Do you enjoy it?
