Artist: Shirley Zhang |
Size: 47 x 180.00 cm (18.50inches x 70.86inches) |
Completed Time: March 18, 2012 |
Remarks: This is my 363rd Chinese Xieyi Painting and my 676th painting since 2003, the 51st assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts.
I am major in flower and birds painting in CNAA, I enjoy painting all kinds of birds. Anyway, Red-crowned Crane and Peacock are the birds I favorite.
Therefore, this week, I have painted my first peacock by learning from Mr. Ren Bonian since I came to the art schools.
As soon as I finished it, I found that the spots on her back were too regular and it seemed like her feather too hard. :-)
Therefore, I asked my tutor Mr. Wu Tong to comment it and direct me. He told me that because I pointed the spots at the time that the feathers were dry. What I should do is to work on it when the feathers are medium dry.
Ok, I have remembered the lessons, and I will try it once more some day later.
How do you think of this painting? Do you like it?
