Title: Shirley Created Art - Chinese Xieyi -0219: Blessing-For Ms. Fisher-- My 20th Painting in the US
Artist: Shirley Zhang
Size: 35cm x 70cm (13.78inch x 27.56inch)
Completed Time: Thur, June 26, 2009
Remarks:
This is my 219thChinese Xieyi Painting and it is two of my 388th pictures since 2003, the 18th picture that I have created in 2009 and the 20th painting in the US.

The two girl missionaries Ms. Fisher and Ms.Stelie will leave for the other churches Thursday morning. For I really appreciated what they have taught me about Christianity, I invited them to have a dinner in a local Chinese restaurant Wednesday night, then they came to my home to see my painting.

Ms. Fisher very enjoyed my 70th Chinese Xieyi painting and wished to get it. But, for I did not think that is my best works and I did not want to send a picture that I myself did not satisfy yet. So, I suggested her to take My 140th Chinese Xieyi Painting the yellow one below, because my Chinese art teacher gave me 92 marks on it. But, after I knew that she would get marry and wished to get a picture with two birds, I changed my idea and decide to re-create a new one for her with pink color.

Do you know why? Red and pink are some colors that symbolize lucky in Chinese colure. Even though yellow symbolizes dignity and be used by the royalty, it is not lucky for lovers -- That means the two lovers would be apart someday.

So, I got up early next morning and I re-created this picture for Ms. Fisher. As soon as I completed my 218th picture for Ms. , I created this one, and I worked from 5:00am to 9:10 am, when she came to take this picture before her car will start for the other city, my colors on the picture has not dry yet. :-)

How do you think of the picture that I created for Ms. Fisher, do you like it?

(You can hit the pictures and to see it clear)
