This is my 70th Combined Paintingthat I have created / painted for Chinese Classical Poetry, and my 696th painting since 2003 ; also, it is my 88th assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts.
I painted this painting third time to match a Chinese classical poem.
Last time I painted in the a little bit narrow size, so that I could not write the English translation on it. Also, I felt that the lines on the flowers not good enough. So, this week, I re-painted it once more.
So I tried it this week.
The Main Meaning of the Poem
Flowers cover a plum blossom tree like a white jade in the cold, Far away from the village road it's near the bridge over the stream. I didn't know the flowers blossom early by the water, I doubted that was the winter snow had not melted. Chinese Characters & Pronunciations :

一树 寒 梅 白 玉 条- Yīshù hánméi báiyù tiáo,, 迥临村路傍溪桥 - jiǒnglín zūnlù bàng xīqiáo。 不知近水花先发 - Bùzhī jìn shuǐ huā xiān fā, 疑是经冬雪未消 - yí shì jīng dōng xuě wèi xiāo。
