Remarks: This is my 206thChinese Xieyi Painting and it is one of my 376th pictures since 2003, the 5th picture that I have created in 2009 and the 9th painting in the US.
Since I created my 202nd Chinese Xieyi: Spring last Tuesday, I have been in a strong feeling that want to paint. So, as soon as I received the comments of my Chinese art teacher on my last painting -- he thought that my painting skill had some retrograded so that this picture was just been given 80 marks for three problems on it:
1) The brush of flowers lack layer and change -- Chinese Xieyi asks every brush has different color -- from deep color to light color, or from light to deep color, should no be same;
2) Among flowers the layer feeling is not enough-- there is no the distinguish from near to far away;
3) The birds are not good enough.
Yes, he was right, the 67 days' stopping is really a too long time.
So, as soon as put down the telephone, I started to work on my homework. Oh, my God! To paint crab, the first feeling that jumped into my mind were two Chinese idems "Wang Mei Zhi Ke -- to Quench Their Thirst by Thinking of Plums" and "Hua Bing Cong Ji" -- to draw cakes to allay hunger... :-)
Ha, since I left from my city by the Ocean, it is not easy to eat the sea food as I was in my city. So, it seems like it is possible for me to "Eat" them by my eyes. :-)
With many smiles, I started my creating, but I could not find the feelings for I had forgot what the crab’s legs looked like. So, until I painted my 6th crab and threw 2 pictures into the rubbish box I just found back the feeling... I have remembered what the crabs from river looked like and I have remembered what my teacher taught me on my first crab painting practice. Then, how I should paint the crabs from the sea? I am thinking of it... :-)
My Chinese art professor thought that I have made progress much more than my last picture and every one has gotten a mark over 90. :-)
How do you think of my new painting, do you like them? Do you want to eat them?
