Title: Chinese Xieyi-- 050(Flower & Bird): Hi |
Artist: Shirley Zhang |
Size: 70cm x 40cm |
Completed Time: Wed, Oct 12, 2005 |
Remarks: This is my 50th Xie Yi --Freehand Brushworks Painting. Maybe because of my trip recently, I could not be in a very stable heart and could not sit down for painting a Chinese Gong Bi or Gouache. So I continue to learn Chinese Xieyi in my art lesson Wednesday night. Anyway, I was so happy to find that as soon as I started to paint, my heart started getting calm and peacful and my teacher asked me to paint peonies for a while, to master the way to make a composition of a picture and to color with brushes directly instead of making a draft at the first. I do feel that the leaves part is something more difficult to paint with brushes directly and I have not mastered the way yet. How do you think of Chinese Xieyi painting? Do you enjoy it? |
