Remarks:
This is my 170th Chinese Xieyi Painting that I painted in my Art Lesson. Also, it is my 334th painting since 2003, the 28th painting that I have painted in 2008.
Plum blossom is a flower that has been loved by Chinese people for thousands years. We love it for it opens earliest in the cold early spring in the snow to bring spring with her beautiful flowers and sweet smell. We love it for its strong quality to keep its beautiful and independent in the hard weather and environment, just like those great people in the human world.
So, when Chinese admire the people who are strange, independent, keep ideas and be able to overcome difficulties in the hardest situation, we often said she or he has a quality as a plum blossom. Plum blossom has been a very important part of painting, music and the other art works in Chinese cultures.
Since Nov, 2003, I first time painted a Chinese Xieyi painting, I have been trained it often. Since this week, we teacher will train me for several times again. :-)
You can not imagine how I enjoyed the freedom to work on my painting with my brushes directly and freely. :-)
My teacher was very happy for my progress and gave me 92 marks.
