Title: Shirley Created Art -- Chinese Xieyi 0154: Sweet Smell |
Artist: Shirley Zhang |
Size: 67 x 67cm |
Completed Time: Thursday, September 20,2007 |
Remarks: This is my 154th Chinese Xieyi painting that I painted in my art lesson Thursday night.
Do you know what I used to mix my color? Wine. :-)
Days ago, my teacher wanted to teach me to paint with Chinese ink and wine, but, except some red wine that the company distributed me for some holiday 10 years ago, there was no any wine in my home, until my son wanted to cook some food for me and made wine as some seasoning in his holiday in China in July.
So, my teacher taught me to use it as water to mix the Chinese ink and to train me to paint with a bigger brush and verve. My teacher thought that wine can help the Chinese ink producing some special result...
This picture was given 90 marks even though I did not think it is good enough.
How do you think of it? Do you like it?
